First Aid in Paediatrics (EAP, Paediatric First Aid 12 Hours)
Our trainers have many years experience working with children, caring for children and nursing them. As a company we have provided first aid training to family centres, after school groups, nurseries, nannies and childminders.
The course syllabus meets the requirements of OFSTED, EYFS and the National Childminder’s Association.
This course is taught in a relaxed style with lots of group work and discussions. We work hard to ensure this course is enjoyable and thought provoking.

- Recording incidents and actions for staff
- Incident management

- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - adult
- Choking - adult
- Wounds and bleeding
- Shock
Plus, Paediatric Module Content:
- Record keeping - for children
- Choking – baby and child
- Recovery position - baby and child
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) - baby and child
- Minor wounds, including ears, nose and eyes
- Anaphylaxis
- Hypothermia, hyperthermia and febrile convulsions
- Sprains and strains
- Fractures
- Amputation
- Head injuries
- Drowning
- Smoke inhalation
- Poisoning
- Burns, scalds and electric shock
- Common illnesses – epilepsy, asthma, sickle cell, diabetes and croup
- Contagious illnesses – Meningitis, chicken pox etc.

After attending this course you will receive a dual certification (Appointed Person and Paediatric Module) valid for 3 years.
